With the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and on the initiative of the “Harmonium” musical development center, gala concerts of the members of “Special Project for Development and Improvement of Talented Young Musicians and Performers of the Republic of Armenia” will be held.

The work carried out for 2019 will be summarized during the special concerts. The project members will summarize their creative progress, performance mastery and achievements in a festive environment.

Within the concert, the young musicians will perform together with RA Honored Artist, Laureate of International Competitions, pianist Armen Babakhanyan, and RA Honored Artist, Laureate of International Competitions, cellist Aram Talalyan. The concerts will feature the works of European, Russian and Armenian composers.

The objective of the Special Project for Development and Improvement of Talented Young Musicians and Performers of the RA is to identify and support 11-20-year old talented musicians in the specialties "Piano", "Violin" and "Cello". The program is a comprehensive set of measures aimed at generation change and fostering the performance school competitiveness in international domains.

15 young musicians involved in the program for 2013-2019 participated in more than 250 different events - competitions, festivals, concerts; many of which have been awarded the laureate of national and international competitions. The program is headed by RA Honored Artist, Laureate of International Competitions, Professor of Piano Department at Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, Professor, pianist Armen Babakhanyan.

The gala concerts will be held on December 19 at 19:00 at Aram Khachaturian House-Museum, and on December 20 at 19:00 at Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
