The Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Centre hosted a presentation of workbooks, manuals, and methodological guidelines designed for inclusive teaching. ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Araksya Svajyan attended the event.

Welcoming those in attendance, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan highlighted the work carried out to ensure inclusiveness in the educational process, emphasizing that providing feedback and dialogue with parental and pedagogical communities are extremely important in terms of efficiency.

“We already have the legislative framework and regulations, the necessary training modules and materials; however, the process requires continuous capacity building and environmental development. Step-by-step changes clearly demonstrate how an inclusive environment operates and the extent of time and consistency necessary to sustain it,said the Minister, emphasizing that despite the significant progress made, many issues still remain.

Zhanna Andreasyan also made a reference to the regulation that entered into force this September, stipulating that children who start school later than the prescribed age are enrolled in classes appropriate to their age group. As stated by the Minister, the manuals, guidelines, workbooks, and notebooks being developed serve as tools that make daily work more comprehensible, systematic, and predictable. “The development of toolkits for implementing such methodologies and programs is also part of the mission of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Centre. I am pleased that the Centre consistently fulfils this mission in cooperation with a range of structures,” Zhanna Andreasyan said.

The educational and methodological materials provide personalized and flexible teaching methods, practical strategies for creating physical and sensory environments, practical solutions for social-emotional learning, behaviour management, and descriptions of specific cases, etc.

The manuals have been endorsed by the ESCS Ministry as ancillary educational materials. Digital versions of the manuals are available on the RPPC website.
