The ESCS Ministry, in collaboration with the “Media” Initiatives Center, announces a Media Literacy Week on November 8-14 on the theme #Resistance.

Schools, higher educational institutions, pre-school and secondary vocational educational institutions, museums, libraries and other educational centers operating under the Ministry can join the programs of the media literacy week by organizing meetings, lessons, discussions, games, etc.

During the week, it is proposed to create and release on the Internet educational and informational materials, broadcasts, popularizing the messages of media literacy and the rules of information hygiene, using the hashtags #Resistance, #Medialiteracy-2021. In addition, it will be useful to follow the Facebook pages of MESCS and MIC, join the campaign #Resistance, participate in online events, and come up with various offline or online initiatives.

The objective of the event, held for already four years, is to help people better navigate information flows, be literate on media platforms and social networks. The event targets both children, teachers, and parents. Materials for the events can be downloaded from the site Media.am in the "Media Literacy " section. It is also suggested to conduct a media literacy class using manuals, learn to check facts and sources, convene a parent meeting and discuss children's media consumption, watch and discuss videos, movies, video games, play media literacy games, invite a journalist or visit any media.
