By the joint efforts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia (now: MoESCS) and the artistic director and principal conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, Sergey Smbatyan, the “DasA” program was launched in 2018.

The аrtistic director and principal conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia Sergey Smbatyan together with the representatives of the orchestra visits high schools within the frame of the program, providing details on classical music, musical instruments, orchestra structure and other topics. Then the students attend concerts and enjoy classical music.

Under the program, the young audience learns about the code of conduct during classical music concerts; as well as hear interesting stories about various artists and their works. As part of the project, the mobile application “DasA” was created, with the help of which children can learn about upcoming concerts and share their impressions. “DasA” engaged more than 13500 pupils from 10-12-th grade from 35 high schools in Yerevan during the 2018-2019 academic year. The initiative received a great response from schoolchildren, their parents, and teachers.

Feedback from the participants of the “DasA” program showed that students also attend concert halls outside the program.
