World-renowned pianist Lang Lang performed a concert on the occasion of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra's 20th anniversary of founding. Prior to the performance, RA ESCS Zhanna Andreasyan presented awards to distinguished international representatives in the field.
For their significant contribution to the field of music, strengthening international partnerships and achievements, as well as on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the following people were awarded medals of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia:
- Paolo Petrocelli, Director of Dubai Opera, a leading performing arts institution in the Middle East, cultural figure, and scholar,
- Umberto Fanni, General Manager and Artistic Director of the Royal Opera House Muscat,
- Grammy Multiple Award-winning classical music sound director and producer Christopher Alder,
- Yuan Yuan, President of Jingse International Culture and Education Organization, Violinist,
- Konstantin Ishkhanov, president of international music festivals and competitions, cultural figure and philanthropist.
Renowned artists have made a significant contribution to the promotion of Armenian performing arts and classical Armenian music through their activities. With their support, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra has implemented a number of significant projects, contributing to the international presentation of Armenian music and to the strengthening of cultural ties between Armenia and the global community.
