RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan received representatives of the “Gituzh” initiative.
The meeting was also attended by Sargis Hayotsyan, Chairman of the Higher Education and Science Committee.
The representatives of “Gituzh” presented the results of the "Science Week" event, and also discussed possible avenues for cooperation in 2026.
Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized that the expansion and popularization of scientific events is a strategic priority, and there is a need to have institutional mechanisms. She placed special emphasis on the significance of fostering accurate perceptions of and positive attitudes toward science, especially among schoolchildren
The parties also referred to the “Science Week” event, emphasizing that last year the program engaged approximately 350 schools and kindergartens from across Armenia attracting several tens of thousands of visitors. The science popularization program has also united approximately 40 scientific organizations.
The parties also addressed the expansion of cooperation, underscoring the importance of engaging museums in the program and exploring opportunities to internationalize and further advance the event.
The meeting also touched upon the science strategy for 2026-2030, mechanisms for assessing the efficiency of scientific programs, and various other sectoral issues.
