Applications for the design of the national pavilion were presented at a session of the interdepartmental committee established to ensure Armenia's participation in the “Expo 2027” world exhibition under the theme “Game for Humanity: Sports and Music for All.”
RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreyasyan chaired the session. ESCS Deputy Ministers Alfred Kocharyan, Daniel Danielyan and Hasmik Avagyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan, as well as representatives of other structures included in the interdepartmental commission, participated in the session.
Four organizations responded to the ESCS Ministry's invitation to submit a content concept for the national pavilion and participation in other events. During the session, the organizations presented their applications, highlighting our country’s rich cultural diversity, historical heritage, contemporary achievements, and vision for future development.
The projects included artistic solutions and design of the national pavilion, as well as interactive, digital approaches aimed at promoting visitor engagement.
ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan thanked the organizations for their interest and for the substantive and creative applications submitted, emphasizing that participation in the “Expo 2027” world exhibition presents a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s cultural, educational, scientific, and creative potential. She noted that Armenia’s presence on major international platforms contributes to enhancing the country’s international visibility and strengthening its recognition.
The submitted applications will be assessed by the interdepartmental commission against established criteria, with particular emphasis on the originality and depth of the concept, and its thematic relevance to the core requirements of the “Expo 2027” world exhibition.
The “Expo 2027” world exhibition, under the theme “Game for Humanity: Sports and Music for All”, will be held from May 15 to August 15, 2027, in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
