RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan attended the “Symphonic Mansurian” concert at the “Aram Khachaturian” Concert Hall, dedicated to the birthday of the renowned composer Tigran Mansurian.
The concert began with the RA national anthem, marking the Army Day of the Republic of Armenia. In her welcome remarks, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan congratulated the RA Armed Forces on their 34th anniversary and Maestro Mansurian on his 87th anniversary, emphasizing that he is one of the country's most cherished artists.
“Each of us has a spiritual and emotional bond with the maestro's music; his compositions are close to us all, since their melodies have accompanied us through various situations in life, and this is the profound and unifying power of Mansurian's art. It is a rare phenomenon when brilliant art and human simplicity come together.
Dear Maestro, in your case, this union is a living reality, for which I wish to express my special gratitude. Your humble and gracious presence teaches us how to live, leaving behind the greatest legacy,” the Minister noted in her congratulatory message to Mansurian.
She also informed that the “Tigran Mansurian Cultural Centre” in Artik is being renovated with state support, which will provide a new platform for identifying and showcasing talented children.
The “Symphonic Mansurian” concert program featured music by Tigran Mansurian, written for Armenian films and theatrical productions: Performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia (Artistic Director: Sergey Smbatyan; Concertmaster: Tiran Nikoghosyan).
The concert was held with the support of the ESCS Ministry, in partnership with the Armenian Cinema Foundation.
