The first phase of the 2026 unified exams has started today. To monitor the course of the exams, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan visited the exam centres at Yerevan High School No. 142 and Basic School No. 135.
Before the start of the exams, Zhanna Andreasyan, accompanied by Deputy Minister Araksya Svajyan, toured the examination rooms and spoke with the applicants.
The Minister wished them success and inquired about their preparations for the exams and their professional preferences.
Zhanna Andreasyan also spoke with the parents of the applicants and listened to their observations regarding the examination process.
Note that, on the first day, the applicants took an exam in the subject “Armenian Language and Literature”. Based on the data provided by the ATC, 12,538 applicants have registered for the first phase of the 2026 unified exams. 4,657 applicants registered to take the exam in the subject “Armenian Language and Literature”: the exam was held in 37 exam centres, 27 of which are located in the regions and 10 in the capital.
Due to adverse weather conditions, approximately 40 candidates from certain settlements in the Sisian community of the Syunik region were unable to reach the Goris examination centre. An additional exam will be organized, and the applicants will be notified of the deadlines in due course.
The next unified examination will take place tomorrow in Physics and Russian.
