A meeting of the Board of Trustees was convened at the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, during which the 2025 activity report was presented.

Chief of Staff of the RA Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, ESCS Minister, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan, Chairman of the Higher Education and Science Committee Sargis Hayotsyan, other board members, as well as representatives of the Public Council, attended the meeting.

During the session, ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan was awarded the Matenadaran Medal of Gratitude in recognition of her support and significant contribution to the development of the institution’s activities. The medal was presented by Ara Khzmalyan, Director of the Matenadaran.

The latter submitted the Matenadaran’s 2025 activity report and the estimate for 2026 to the Council for approval. At the suggestion of the Director and with the consent of the Board of Trustees, the first part of the meeting was held in an open format, during which a substantive report on the work carried out was presented.

The Director of the Matenadaran presented the work carried out and the achievements made in the replenishment of scientific, scientific-technical, valuable samples, cultural assets, and the internationalization of scientific outcomes.

The meeting of the Board of Trustees was followed by the opening of the exhibition titled “The Artistic Face of the Matenadaran”. The paintings focus on the core concept of the exhibition, unveiling a previously unexplored and unpublished side of the Matenadaran.
