A joint communiqué was signed in Astana following the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Subsequently, a document exchange ceremony between Armenia and Kazakhstan was held in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreyasyan, and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, exchanged a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of science and higher education.
The parties, in particular, expressed their willingness to foster the development of direct cooperation between higher education institutions and to encourage and promote exchange programs for lecturers and students of both countries. Joint scientific research programs will be carried out to study the Armenian-Kipchak manuscripts.
Memoranda of understanding on cooperation were also exchanged between the National Libraries of Armenia and Kazakhstan, the Cinema Foundation of Armenia and the Kazakh Cinema State Centre for Support of National Film, and the National Gallery of Armenia and the A. Kasteev State Art Museum of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that as part of the delegation led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreyasyan, is on an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan on 20-21 November.
