The voluntary certification of public school teachers for this year was launched today. ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan observed the voluntary certification process at the examination centres established in Yerevan Andranik Margaryan No. 29 and Beniamin Zhamkochyan No. 119 high schools.

53 examination centres have been established in Yerevan and across all regions of Armenia, equipped with corresponding facilities and provided with high-speed internet connection. The voluntary certification exams are held on November 8-30 at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. This year, over 8,400 educators have applied to participate in the voluntary certification. “Geography” and “Informatics” teachers are the first to take the certification exam. There are 313 and 289 registered participants, respectively.

The Minister discussed organizational issues with those in charge of the examination centers, expressing hope that the certification results will be positive and meet the participants’ expectations. Voluntary certification exams are conducted in electronic format. According to the procedure, teachers are notified of the results right after the exam is completed, and they can submit an appeal within 24 hours.

ESCS Deputy Minister Araksia Svajyan monitored the voluntary certification of teachers at the examination centre established at Yerevan Manuel Kajuni High School No. 54. The Deputy Minister toured the exam centre, spoke with teachers before the start of the exam, and wished them success.

On November 8, “Geography” and “Informatics” teachers will take the certification exam. Out of 313 Geography teachers registered for the certification, approximately 85% participated in the exam.

Note that teachers must arrive at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time with an identification document. Teachers must also have their login details with them: username and password. The voluntary certification exams are held on November 8-30 at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
