The “Street Art Festival 2025” has launched with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the initiative of the Centre for Contemporary Experimental Art (NPAK).
ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, attended the opening event.
The exhibition features 25 original works by 20 iconic artists from the history of Parisian street art, created in the studio, as well as works made in situ by three Armenian artists. The works by internationally renowned artists such as Banksy, Bault, Clet, Dran, EvazeSir, Jacques Villegle, Jonk and others are on display.
The officials toured the exhibition halls, viewed the works, and inquired about their history and distinctive features.
ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the significance of public access to information about this branch of art. She placed particular emphasis on the participation of schoolchildren in the exhibition. “The subject “Art” has been introduced in high school, allowing students to explore the world of art. This art form is one of the most direct means of expressing emotions, making it especially engaging for high school students,” said the Minister, expressing hope that innovative experiential art ideas will also be brought to life with schools.
The exhibition will run for 4 months.
The festival also features a range of educational and public events, among them the creation of a large-scale mural in Aparan.
The events aim to foster community engagement, promote creative exchange, and provide new perspectives on Armenia’s urban environment.
Admission to all events is free.
The “Street Art Festival 2025” is also held in Armenia with the support of the French Institute and in cooperation with the organizations “NLL” and “Artistic Rezo”.
