The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports is implementing a training program for educators teaching in Armenian educational institutions operating in the Diaspora, in which 62 teachers from 10 countries are participating this year.

RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, and Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan attended the program launch event.

This year, the training sessions under the title “Bridge of Knowledge” are held at Yeghishe Charents School No. 67.

“This is not only a highly significant teaching, learning, and methodological work, but also an opportunity to build human connections, relationships and create collaborative platforms. The chosen title “Bridge of Knowledge” is no coincidence: on the one hand, we share knowledge and experience, pedagogical skills and methodology with each other, and on the other hand, we bridge the Republic of Armenia to various Diaspora centres. I think this is the special mission that also gives the enthusiasm and motivation to continue this program,” the ESCS Minister said.

She particularly emphasized that the training program should be as purposeful and targeted as possible, given that the work carried out by Diaspora Armenian teachers differs significantly from that of teachers in schools operating in the Republic of Armenia.

Additionally, Zhanna Andreasyan underlined the significance of enhancing the program based on the suggestions and observations of educators: “This program should fulfill its objective as effectively as possible by addressing questions encountered in everyday work

The ESCS Minister thanked the participating teachers, the training pedagogical team, and colleagues, expressing hope that their experience, observations, and opinions will contribute to the advancement of the program.

The training program will be implemented until July 26 in the following seven areas:

  • Teaching in kindergarten
  • Teaching in One-Day School
  • Elementary Education
  • Armenian Language and Literature
  • Armenian History and History of Culture
  • Instruction in Singing and Dancing
  • Training of Principals

Diaspora Armenian teachers from Russia, India, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Georgia, Lebanon, Belgium, and France are participating in the training program.
