Ahead of International Museum Day, the pan-European “Museum Night” event is being held today.

On the occasion of the Day, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan attended the opening of the temporary exhibition “Isahakyan and His Time” at Av. Isahakyan House Museum.

EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, ESCS Deputy Minister Alfred Kocharyan, grandson of Avetik Isahakyan, Honored Artist of Armenia, literary critic Avik Isahakyan, as well as many admirers of Isahakyan's art, attended the event.

The exhibition titled “Isahakyan and His Time”, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan, presents him in the context of modern perceptions not only as a writer, but also as a public figure who actively engaged in the geopolitical changes of the time.

The exhibition was organized with the support of the RA ESCS Ministry and an individual benefactor. Museum Director Armenuhi Avetisyan presented the exhibition concept and new exhibits to the guests.

The students with special educational needs studying at the “Organization of Tourism Services with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language” faculty of the Armenian-Greek College, who are undergoing an internship at the museum, also toured the museum.

As part of the event, an installation program was implemented in the museum's memorial park with the participation of students from the "Hnar" art school.
