RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan met today in Aghveran with the participants, coaches, and referees of the final round of the “RA Prime Minister's Cup” amateur table tennis tournament.
ESCS Deputy Minister Hasmik Avagyan also attended the meeting.
The Prime Minister greeted the participants and congratulated them on the opportunity to participate in the final round. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the significance of holding the “RA Prime Minister's Cup” amateur tournament in various sports and emphasized that it aims to foster a healthy lifestyle and sport among society, including school-age children.
The conversation covered issues related to the advancement and popularization of sport, the organization and holding of competitions, and the format of the tournament. The participants of the tournament and the coaches noted that these tournaments are of great interest among schoolchildren.
The final stage of the “RA Prime Minister's Cup” amateur table tennis tournament will be held on April 27 at Ara Manukyan Children's and Youth Sports School in Charentsavan, Kotayk region. The winning teams of the regional rounds held among students in grades 5-9 and 10-12 of general education institutions of the Republic of Armenia in Yerevan and the regions will advance to the republican final round. Over 3,200 pupils in grades 5-9 and 10-12 (around 810 teams) from 574 general education institutions of Yerevan and the regions participated in the community round competitions.
