RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan received today the Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze.
ESCS Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan also attended the meeting.
The meeting covered the program of the Georgian Culture Days scheduled for June 5-7 in Armenia.
Zhanna Andreasyan greeted the Ambassador and underlined the significance of the successful and sustainable development of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the fields of education, science, culture, and sport. The ESCS Minister emphasized that holding Culture Days will advance the friendly relations and cultural dialogue between the two countries. Zhanna Andreasyan expressed hope that the extensive agenda of the Culture Days will spark interest, contributing to the development of Armenian-Georgian cultural ties.
Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze thanked for the reception and willingness to cooperate. The Ambassador informed that a number of cultural events are scheduled within the framework of the Georgian Culture Days in Armenia, with the participation of Georgian solo performers, music groups, and dance ensembles.
In the context of bilateral cooperation, the parties highlighted the “Festivar” music and tourism festival held in Ijevan last year with the participation of Armenian and Georgian performers, which aroused great interest in Georgia.
The ESCS Minister also highlighted the importance of holding youth conferences between Armenia and Georgia, emphasizing the significance of fostering communication and interaction between the youth of the two countries, strengthening friendly ties and implementing new joint initiatives.
The meeting addressed various other operational issues related to the organization of the Georgian Culture Days.
