RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan received today the representatives of the AMAA NGO headed by the Director of the AMAA in Armenia Aren Deyirmenjian.
As part of the AMAA's educational activities, the Avedisian free school, kindergarten, day centers, and summer camps run in Yerevan in line with the best international standards.
Welcoming those present, the ESCS Minister emphasized the significance of maintaining a productive dialogue between non-governmental educational institutions and entities implementing State policy.
Aren Deyirmenjian informed that discussions are currently underway at Avedisian School on the introduction of agricultural educational programs, as well as several other professional programs in collaboration with the top international educational institutions. According to the Director of AMAA Armenia, the objective is to expand this education model also in the regions of Armenia by establishing similar educational institutions in Gegharkunik, Syunik, Shirak and Lori regions.
The first such center is planned to be established in Vardenis.
Aren Deyirmenjian highlighted that they wish to contribute to the advancement of the education sector together with the state so that their initiatives are as in line as possible with the vision of the state and educational reforms in Armenia.
The ESCS Minister welcomed such an initiative and its alignment with the state policy. Zhanna Andreasyan informed that the program of the RA Government for the renovation, construction and reconstruction of 300 schools and 500 kindergartens until 2026 is under implementation. The parties expressed their willingness to consider the possibilities of cooperation on the project.
During the meeting, the parties also touched upon substantive programs․ The ESCS Minister emphasized the importance that all curriculum and educational programs must adhere to the requirements of the state standard of general education.
Other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed during the meeting.
