RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Mrs. Anna Hakobyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and other high-ranking officials attended the opening ceremony of several newly built schools in the Republic.

They congratulated the students on the start of the new academic year and also familiarized themselves with the work carried out.

The first stop was “Heratsi” High School in Yerevan. The Government allocated more than 1 billion AMD for the construction of the educational institution, which began in 2019. The constructed high school will allocate 520 students. The school is fully equipped.

The next destination was Vaghatin Secondary School in Syunik region. As a result of the construction program launched in 2020, a modular school was built, for which around 752 million 800 thousand AMD was allocated. The school is completely equipped except for laboratory equipment. Currently, 48 students are studying there. The newly built Vaghatin Secondary School can accommodate 100 children, it also has a preschool for 20 children.

The next stop was basic school after Gagik Vardanyan in Kirants, Tavush region. A modular school was built in Kirants. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 737 million AMD. The recently constructed school can accommodate 100 students, but for now it only has 36 pupils enrolled. It also has a preschool for 20 children. The school is completely equipped.

In Kirants, the RA Prime Minister and his entourage also got acquainted with the restoration work of the Holy Trinity Church of the 19th century.

The last stop was the Kaps Secondary School in Shirak region. The total cost of the project amounted to more than 747 million AMD. The newly built school is designed for 100 students, and the preschool is designed for 20 children. The school is completely equipped. Currently, 52 students are studying there.
