Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan is taking part in the International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of poet Magtymguly Fragi in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

High-ranking delegations from more than 20 countries and representatives of international structures attended the opening of the forum.

As part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the famous Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, a park named after him was opened in Ashgabat, where, in addition to the massive Fragi monument, statues of other renowned intellectuals from around the globe were also installed. In the newly opened Alley of Classical Poets of the park, the statue of the famous Armenian poet-troubadour Sayat Nova was placed among the statues of Dante Alighieri, Shota Rustaveli, Honore De Balzac, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Hafez Shiraz, Fyodor Dostoyevsky and other world thinkers.

The honour of unveiling the statue of Sayat Nova was granted to the RA ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan.
