On September 12-14, the International Scientific Conference “Aram Khachaturian-12”" will be held at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The Conference is initiated by the Institute of Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia jointly with the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum and the Union of Composers of Armenia co-funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, and the Committee of Higher Education and Science. The objective is to present the current state of Khachatryan studies, to study the creative, performing, musical and social activities of the outstanding Armenian composer, to evaluate his heritage.

The Conference will be attended by leading internationally recognized scientists and young researchers from 8 countries (Armenia, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Latvia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Lebanon.

As part of the Conference, an exhibition presenting the achievements of Khachaturyan studies will be organized in the lobby of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, and an exhibition “Eternal Gratitude to Aram" will be held in the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum, during which materials stored in the Ye. F. Gnesina’s Memorial Museum-apartment (Moscow) will be presented.
