The call for proposals of the Silk Roads Youth Research Grant, jointly run by the UNESCO Silk Roads Program and the National Commission of China for UNESCO, is open.

It will be held under the motto “Reinforcing the capacity and contribution of young researchers to the Silk Roads”. The award is for young researchers under the age of 35. Proposed research may cover one or several themes associated with the Silk Roads shared heritage:

  • Science and Technology
  • Religion and Spirituality
  • Language and Literature
  • Arts and Music
  • Sports and Games
  • Economy and Trade
  • The Legacy of the Silk Road and Contemporary Issues
