RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Karen Trchunyan received Deputy CEO of the "Alabuga" organization of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Tazutdinov.

Issues aimed at the interaction of primary (handicraft) and secondary vocational education were at the core of the meeting. Deputy Minister Karen Trchunyan noted that the parties have a great potential for exchanging experience in this field, and suggested presenting proposals and opportunities for cooperation.

Ildar Tazutdinov presented the activities of the organization “Alabuga” of the Republic of Tatarstan, infrastructure and ongoing educational programs. According to him, the “Alabuga Polytech” engineering college operates within the organization, where, based on basic education, vocational education is organized in the specialties “Industrial Robots", “Industrial Automation”, “Electrical Installation”, “Laboratory Chemical Analysis”, “Information Systems and Programming”, “Maintenance and Repair of Electronic Equipment”. At the proposal of the Organization, RA applicants can also study at “Alabuga Polytech” engineering college for primary (handicraft) and secondary professional education. The educational institution provides a scholarship (on a competitive basis), provides accommodation in a dormitory, as well as reimbursement for transportation costs.

Karen Trchunyan said that reforms are being implemented in Armenia in the VET sector: a new draft of the law on “Vocational Education and Training" is circulating, which envisages fundamental reforms.

During the meeting, the parties also touched upon the possibility of holding joint Olympiads in the field of primary and secondary vocational education and outlined prospects for the development of cooperation between the parties.
