RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arthur Martirosyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Armenia Hans Dannenberg Castellanos (residence in Moscow).

The possibilities of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, sports, youth, and legal cooperation issues were considered during the meeting.

ESCS Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan presented the current reforms in the field of education in Armenia, underlining that in the field of higher education there is a significant emphasis on the internationalization of universities, the export of Armenian educational services, including the engagement of foreign students. Hans Dannenberg Castellanos highlighted the importance of the perspective of studying in Armenian universities for the students of his country. Regarding the possible interstate cooperation in the field of higher education, Arthur Martirosyan noted that it can be implemented through the formation of interuniversity collaboration, expressing willingness to consider the proposal of signing a document of cooperation at the interdepartmental level.

The newly appointed Ambassador stressed the importance of starting cooperation based on the existing experience. During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues of mutual interest in the fields of culture, education, sports, and youth, and outlined separate directions for cooperation.

Note that on April 11, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Armenia Mr. Hans Dannenberg Castellanos will present his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.
