Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting during which the draft strategy of the education sector was discussed.
The officials in charge noted that the draft presents the vision and goals of education development till 2026 and 2030. In particular, the draft refers to the services provided from pre-school to higher education. The document presents the main targets the Government will pursue in the sector for the designated period.
In the scope of the draft, a reference was made to the content of education, standards, programs, and activities envisaged in the field of pre-school, general, vocational, and higher education, as well as infrastructure development, standardization of universities according to international criteria and establishment of an academic city.
An exchange of views unfolded around the project, several questions, observations, and suggestions were made.
Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister noted that the ideas about solving the raised issues should be attached to the strategy. Nikol Pashinyan instructed to put the draft into circulation parallelly revising it and taking into account the issues and suggestions being made.
