The 33rd International Biology Olympiad is scheduled to be held in Armenia in 2022.

In this regard, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan hosted the members of the Organizing Committee of the International Biology Olympiad to discuss preparatory and current issues of the Olympiad. ESCS Deputy Minister Karen Trchunyan also attended the meeting.

The members of the Organizing Committee of the International Biology Olympiad are representatives of different countries, including Armenia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Hungary, Belgium, Russia, and Ukraine.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Vahram Dumanyan emphasized: “This is the first international Olympiad to be held in Armenia, and in all respects, it is very important for us. I am hopeful that it will make a good start for holding further Olympiads in Armenia.”

Organizational and preparatory issues of the Olympiad were discussed during the meeting. The members of the Organizing committee reported that there are no current issues, everything is going as planned, and they are confident that the Olympiad will be held at a high level.
