Considering the state of emergency and the urgent need for transition to distance learning for VET institutions, the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and the “National Network for Distance Learning” NGO is launching a new initiative.

The Ministry has sent a circular to the VET Institutions suggesting to register at http://elearning.am. The online course on “Introduction to E-learning” will be conducted between March 20 and April 3 for 158 teachers of colleges and craftsmanship schools registered in the mentioned platforms. The course is designed to introduce VET managers and teachers to the opportunities of using educational information technologies, and the e-learning experience of educational organizations. The components and steps presented in the e-learning will provide sufficient information, as well as contribute to the adoption of informed decisions about the e-learning process.

It should be stated that online training will be conducted in two stages: March 20-27 and March 27-April 3. The recruitment of lecturers is currently being organized for the last stage training. For this period the process will be ongoing.

The experts of the “National Network for Distance Learning” NGO have developed a series of courses that cover the following directions: development and management of e-learning strategy, development of teaching-methodical design, e-content development and online teaching.

The “National Network for Distance Learning” NGO was founded within “Institutional Building and HR Management in E-learning: South Caucasus” GIZ project supported by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
