Today the RA ESCS Minister Vahram Dumanyan and Deputy Minister Narine Khachaturyan visited the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center to get acquainted with the building conditions of the center and support the soldiers receiving treatment.

YSMU Rector Armen Muradyan and director of the Center Haykuhi Minasyan presented the building, the halls where the treatment of soldiers is carried out, the replenishment of equipment in recent years, and discussed the upcoming activities and urgent issues to be solved.

As presented by A. Muradyan, the "Defender’s Center" is equipped with modern rehabilitation devices and potentially is a unique center in the region. In addition to rehabilitation services and medical care, the Center also provides psychological support and training programs to persons with military disabilities, solves issues of their social integration and employment. Minister Vahram Dumanyan thanked the staff of the Center for their devoted work and for carrying out these important activities nowadays, noting that the life of every soldier is irreplaceable for all of us.

The Minister and Deputy Minister also toured the hospital wards, got acquainted, and talked with the soldiers.

During the conversation, Henry, one of the soldiers undergoing medical treatment, said with humor, “I can't walk yet, but every morning I make my bed, and many others who can walk, are lazy to even make the bed. So which of us is disabled?

It should be noted that Deputy Minister Narine Khachaturyan donated valuable books to the library of the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center on behalf of the Hovhannes Tumanyan, Russian Art Museums, and Martiros Saryan House-Museum.
