Enquiring that the St, All Savior Cathedral in Artsakh was damaged as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the World Monuments Fund considers the intentional destruction of any sample of cultural heritage absolutely unacceptable.

The famous Ghazanchetsots Church was built in the XIX century, was then restored in the 1990-s after the war and became the symbol of the region's revival.

Through our activities around the world, we have witnessed the irreversible loss of cultural heritage destruction, both in terms of local communities and of world history, as it permanently severs our ties with the past, disrupting the identity of peoples. We therefore urge the parties to exercise restraint and refrain from any targeting of cultural heritage sites.

The world monuments Fund is committed to its mission to preserve our common history around the world through collaboration with all the communities.
