Within the framework of Armenia-EU Sub-committee 6th meeting - People to People on “Employment and Social Affairs, Public Health, Training, Education and Youth, Culture, Information Society, Audiovisual, and Science and Technology” the representatives of Armenia also informed their international partners about the recent aggression of Azerbaijan by targeting Artsakh and Armenian civil infrastructures.

In this meeting, attended by the staff of the relevant sectorial departments of the European Commission Representatives of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Armenian side was co-chaired by the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arthur Martirosyan , and the EU side was co-chaired by Beatrice Salvador Garcia, Deputy Head of the European Neighborhood Strategy's toolkit.

The Armenian side presented its EU partners about Azerbaijan's aggression by violating of all norms of international law in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic since September 27, drawing attention to the fact that they are carrying out attacks on civilians - schools, kindergartens, and other civilian infrastructure.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Culture and Sports also stressed the fact that being a member state of the "Safe School Declaration", Armenia unconditionally protects the security of educational institutions, everyone's right to be educated without any threat of violence. He called on the international community to strongly condemn the Azerbaijani targeted attacks on students, teachers and educational institutions. The Armenian side also presented the current and possible impact of the Azerbaijani aggression on the developments being in motion in various spheres.

Within the framework of the meeting of the subcommittee organized once a year, the current process of the reforms in the spheres of education, science, culture, youth, healthcare, labor, information society (including RA-EU cooperation և due to EU support) and further steps were presented in detail.
