RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan held a regular meeting with teachers to discuss sectoral issues and listen to their observations and proposals.

The teachers specifically addressed the procedure of competitions for principal and teacher vacancies, as well as the “Best of the Year” competition, and the process of submitting applications for the latter, while sharing their observations and concerns.

The teachers were also interested in the upcoming changes to the format and content of final and unified examinations. As stated by the Minister, the changes are planned to relate only to the content, aligning it with the requirements of the new standard for general education. Proper awareness will be ensured throughout the process.

The teachers positively reacted to the school subscription program, emphasizing that schools are making the most of the program and children are quite interested.

Issues related to voluntary certification were also at the core of the meeting. Reference was made to the literature list for psychologists, the remuneration rate, and the questionnaire developed for the subject “Physical Education”. Opportunities for increased encouragement of school teams at community and regional tournaments were also addressed.

The Minister thanked the teachers for their work and noted that their observations and proposals make a substantial contribution to the improvement of the sector and the advancement of the education system.
