With the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the third performance of the mystery-oratorio “E” was held at the Cascade Complex.
RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan. attended the event.
The authors of the composition are composer Vache Sharafyan and Vasgen Brutyan.
The mystery-oratorio is presented in various sites throughout Armenia, accompanied by visual installations. It aims to revitalize cultural life not only in the capital, but also in the regions of Armenia.
The project includes a series of four concerts: the first performance of the mystery-oratorio took place on June 26 at Erebuni Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve, the second on July 24 at Mount Gutanasar, the third on August 25 at the Cascade in Yerevan, and the fourth performance is scheduled on August 30 at the Yereruyk Temple. Each performance, held in the neighbourhood of historical monuments, breathes new life into the site and infuses it with a contemporary spirit. The historical monument at each location becomes an integral part of the mystery, featuring a visually animated projection with artistic design.
The multi-layered and multi-act oratorio features performers Arpi Sinanyan (soprano) and Mary Misakyan (soprano), as well as an expanded lineup of the Armenian Brass Quintet: Azat Harutyunyan (trumpet), Narek Grigoryan (trumpet), Armen Karagyan (French horn), Arshavir Isahakyan (French horn), Vardan Papikyan (trombone), David Asryan (tuba), and Eduard Papoyan (percussion).
The music was composed by Vache Sharafyan, and Vasgen Brutyan created the visual design.
The authors believe that the creation and performance of mystery-oratorios is particularly relevant and timely today. The musical mystery is multilingual, featuring the Urartian language, and seeks to popularize Armenian history through high-quality art.
