RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan had a meeting with the Minister of Culture of the Hellenic Republic, Styliani (Lina) Mendoni, at the National Gallery of Greece, during which memoranda of cooperation in the field of culture were signed.

Zhanna Andreasyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception, emphasizing that the friendly relations and shared historical heritage between Armenia and Greece provide a strong foundation for advancing and expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of culture.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan presented the key directions of cultural development, emphasizing the significance of implementing joint programs in various sectors.

The parties highlighted that there is great potential for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, expressing their willingness to expand bilateral ties through joint programs.

The meeting covered issues related to exchange programs in the field of culture, inter-museum cooperation, organization of culture days in both countries, joint exhibitions and film production projects, preservation of cultural heritage, and exchange of experience in the field of management.

The meeting was followed by the signing of documents on cooperation in the field of culture. In particular, the parties signed a cooperation program in the field of culture, an agreement on the prevention of the illicit trafficking of cultural property, a memorandum of cooperation between the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia and the Megaron Concert Hall of Thessaloniki, and a memorandum of cooperation between the Armenian Cinema Foundation and the Greek Film Centre.

Ministers Zhanna Andreasyan and Styliani (Lina) Mendoni expressed confidence that the signed documents will give a new impetus to the strengthening of Armenia-Greece cultural ties and open up new horizons for collaboration.

Various other issues of bilateral interest were also touched upon.
