RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva attended the concert.

ESCS Deputy Ministers Arthur Martirosyan and Daniel Danielyan were also present.

In her welcome remarks, ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan noted: “I am happy to welcome everyone to Armenia on the occasion of Kazakh Culture Days. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia highly appreciates the ongoing advancement of traditional friendly relations with Kazakhstan.

Armenia and Kazakhstan strengthen their bonds of friendship through cultural similarities ranging from ancient heritage to modern art. Culture is a bridge between peoples, a powerful means of sharing history, values, and traditions.

A vivid example of cultural collaboration is the Kipchak manuscripts, which are carefully stored at Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts - the Matenadaran,” said the Minister, stressing that the Armenian Culture Days that were held last year in Kazakhstan are now followed by Kazakh Culture Days in Yerevan.

She emphasized that the Kazakh Culture Days in Armenia are a unique opportunity for the Armenian audience to discover Kazakh art, music, cinematography, and dance.

The concert was held with the participation of distinguished and leading ensembles of Kazakhstan. People's Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Rylbayeva, the “Il Canto” vocal quartet, the “HASSAK” folk-ethnographic ensemble, the “Birlik” dance ensemble, the Dombra Ensemble, and other soloists performed at the concert.

Armenian creative teams: the female troupe of the Armenian State Dance Ensemble and the Variety and Symphony Orchestra of the Public Radio of Armenia (artistic director: Yervand Yerznkyan) participated in the gala concert.

Before the concert, the ministers gave a briefing, answering questions from the media representatives.

According to ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, various events were held as part of the Kazakh Culture Days held in Armenia, in particular, a grove named after the prominent Kazakh writer Abai Kunanbayev was opened in Yerevan.

“The grove is located next to a school and kindergarten, which means that children, their parents, and teachers passing by will be thinking about the writer and thinker Kunanbayev, and will try to get to know his philosophy. This is an essential connection that helps to strengthen relations between the two countries,” said the Minister, adding that cultural ties will further develop into political and economic cooperation programs.

According to her, a wide range of initiatives have already been considered with the Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, including book translation, joint film production, museum activities, and other areas.

During the briefing, Aida Balayeva noted: “The agenda of events for the Kazakh Culture Days in Armenia was brought to life thanks to active bilateral interest and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing cultural cooperation. Kazakh films were screened, official meetings were held, and the gala concert is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the culture of the Kazakh people to the Armenian people.”
