RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany have signed a joint Declaration of Intent on cultural cooperation.
The document was signed by ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Claudia Busch.
ESCS Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan also attended the event.
Minister Zhanna Andreasyan greeted the participants, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the two friendly countries and the potential for executing joint program initiatives in education, science, culture, sports, and youth in the interest of advancing and enhancing bilateral relations.
“The relations between Armenia and Germany have gained a dynamic enhancement, especially in the field of culture. And this document serves as evidence of the expansion of cooperation,” stated Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, emphasizing the successful execution of previous joint programs of the two countries.
Congratulating on the signing of the important document, Ambassador Claudia Busch noted that the memorandum is a solid foundation for enhanced cooperation.
“The German side attaches importance to advancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of culture and education,” noted the Ambassador.
Within the scope of the joint Declaration of Intent, the parties encourage the exchange of experience and specialists between relevant institutions and organizations of the two countries, as well as cooperation in the fields of literature, theatre, cinematography, music, fine arts, museums, librarianship, publishing, monuments and the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. The establishment and operation of institutions that strengthen the interaction of cultural and educational ties in Armenia and Germany is also encouraged.
