RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan today received the representatives of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST), who presented the Armenian experience of implementing advanced education in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in public schools as part of the “Digital Learning Week” annual event at UNESCO headquarters in Paris in early September.
ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan expressed gratitude for the continuous collaboration and the best presentation of the Armenian experience. The Minister emphasized the significance of sharing the experience of the “Generation AI” pilot educational program on various international platforms while striving to optimize and enhance the educational process.
Vice President for Strategic Programming at the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology Suzanna Shamakhyan emphasized that it was a great honor for her to represent Armenia at the forefront of innovative education, be part of the global agenda and share Armenia's experience in teaching artificial intelligence. The event brought together government officials, education ministers, representatives from research and educational institutions, and the private sector, including renowned companies like Lenovo and Apple, to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on education.
According to Suzanna Shamakhyan, the “Generation AI” program being piloted in Armenian schools, has garnered significant interest among international partners, which indicates Armenia's potential in introducing advanced artificial intelligence at the school level and leading educational innovations. She stated that representatives from various countries welcomed Armenia's initiative to promote innovative education and expressed interest in learning more about our country's experiences in this field.
At the meeting with ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, the representatives of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology also presented the outcomes registered so far within the framework of the program and the achievements of students enrolled in the “Generation AI” educational program. Issues related to the professional training of teachers, as well as collaboration carried out with the support of sectoral structures were also addressed.
The parties expressed their willingness to join forces to expand the program and attract new schools.
