Dear compatriots,

By the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, January 24 is proclaimed International Day of Education in celebration of the role of education in ensuring world peace and sustainable development. I believe this idea is extremely relevant and it inspires us to further strengthen the fundamentals of education with increased efforts, recognizing its crucial role and significance in the advancement of societies and nations, and the creation of harmonious relationships.

The Republic of Armenia is currently undergoing reforms at various levels of education, and we have already achieved our first successes, which will be further multiplied through ongoing work, unity, and persistent efforts. We believe that collaborative efforts today are the cornerstone of tomorrow's welfare, societal legal consciousness, and sustainable development.

We have gradually introduced the new standard of general education in all schools of the Republic to ensure quality education, we are actively working on the implementation of the “Academic City” program to create a university system and infrastructure that meet international standards.

On this very day, on the International Day of Education, we are holding joint hearings with the legislative partners in the National Assembly on the draft of a new law “On Vocational Education and Training”.

Last year, in parallel with the reforms, we managed to ensure, without systemic deviations, the continuation of the right to education of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. We still have a long way to go and a lot of work ahead of us in this regard.

Our society always gives special importance to all the processes carried out in the field of education, paying particular attention to them. Such public attention further heightens the responsibility of key education actors for the future of our children and the state's development.

I wish that we never change our respectful attitude towards the importance of education and that we continue to educate ourselves and inspire others with education with the belief that it is through education that we can transform and improve society and the state.
