ESCS Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan also attended the meeting.

The ESCS Minister welcomed the Ambassador and emphasized the significance of the consistent development and expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science, culture, sports and youth. “We have a fairly successful cooperation in many directions and a lot of activities to accomplish, the development of which is on our agenda. I am sure that the potential of cooperation has great prospects for expansion,” said the Minister.

In the context of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education and science, the ESCS Minister highlighted the best experience of organizing higher education in the People's Republic of China, especially in terms of creating academic cities. The Minister noted that the program of Academic City has been launched in Armenia, and the opportunity for experience exchange is important for the Armenian side.

Regarding cooperation in the field of cultural heritage, the ESCS Minister emphasized the importance of joint implementation of programs for the translation and publication of Armenian-Chinese literary works. It was noted that according to the signed memoranda, the parties will jointly initiate projects for the translation and publication of classical works of Armenia and China, translating and publishing 50 joint works in total.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
