The delegation headed by RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan will take part in the International Education Forum "Shaping the Future" from June 7-9, 2023 in Kazan, Russian Federation.
As part of the International Ministerial Forum, ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan had a meeting with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the possibility of cooperation and implementation of joint programs in the fields of higher education and science. Zhanna Andreasyan thanked for the invitation to participate in the international Ministerial Forum held in Kazan. She highlighted the importance of the Forum as one of the best platforms for experience exchange in the field of education, to present and study the best experience of countries aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of education.
During the meeting, the ministers touched upon the activities of the Armenian-Russian University in Yerevan and the implementation of joint initiatives, emphasizing the importance of the sustainable development of the university. The Ministers signed a joint order on appointing the rector of the Russian-Armenian University. The candidate Eduard Sandoyan, elected at the general meeting of the University, has been appointed to the position of rector.
The sides stressed the importance of holding an Armenian-Russian scientific and educational forum in Yerevan on June 13-14, 2023, during which it is planned to discuss the prospects of Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of education and science and the possibility of implementing joint programs. Zhanna Andreasyan noted that jointly implemented initiatives should be used in the best way to advance Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of education and science to a qualitatively higher level.
Zhanna Andreasyan also had a meeting with the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov. The Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of general and vocational education, emphasizing in this context the importance of the forum, to be held in Yerevan on June 13-14, 2023.
During the visit, the ESCS Minister also took part in the Russian exhibition on education organized within the framework of the Forum and also visited educational and cultural institutions.
